SIPP Node

Product Sheet, SIPP-Node™

The SIPP Node monitors and measures the oil content in water of oil collection pits and discharges uncontaminated water into the environment. Rain water from oil collection pits such as transformer pits may only be discharged into the environment when the oil content does not exceed 5 ppm.

The SIPP Node is installed at oil collection pits and discharges the water fully automatic when the predefined level is reached. The modern measurement technology analyses the water before it will be discharged: with a sampling frequency of 1 second the oil content in the water can be exactly determined by infrared light. The integrated special filter cassette absorbs smallest oil fractions, water with higher oil content will be lead back to the oil collection pit, so that only water will be discharged into the environment that complies with the official regulations. Each discharge is documented with full traceability and is available via internet.

With over 20,000 documented discharges it is the most used method in Sweden.
