CO - industry price 2016

C.C. JENSEN wins the CO-industry Cooperation Price 2016.

Trade union representatives are behind their approach.

Glory for Svendborg company: C.C. JENSEN has the best cooperation in the country

Svendborg: The oil filter company C.C. JENSEN, based in Løvholmen in Svendborg, Denmark is known to be a good workplace. On several occasions, the old family business has been highlighted for its focus on employee well-being - and now it has happened again.

On October 24, CEO Stig Due will receive the CO-industry Cooperation Price 2016, in recognition of the cartel's appreciation of the cooperation between employees, union representatives and management in the company’s businesses.

The prize is awarded once a year. And this year, all the plaudits have gone to the South Funen industrial company and to the trade union representatives of C.C. Jensen who are behind their approach.

Trade union representative Tom Christiansen's short answer to what it is that he and his colleagues appreciate at their workplace is:

Justice, trust and respect.

In more detail, he says:

“There is a special family spirit within C.C. JENSEN. It has always been that way, and it means a lot for your job satisfaction when you have colleagues and management with a solid culture of cooperation.”

In this regard he does not ignore the influence of the former CEO and current chairman Carl Aage Jensen, who has always had his own leadership style.

“He has a special mentality. Although he may well be very direct, he has a soft heart. He cares about each employee and will go to great lengths to avoid layoffs”, said Tom Christiansen.

Particularly Mentality

Carl Aage Jensen's successor as director, Stig Due, has, according to the trade union representative, the same view of humanity. And the locality of Svendborg has already shown its appreciation of C.C. JENSEN.

In 2004, C.C. JENSEN received “The golden Nagle” of Danish Metal and was elected the second best workplace in Funen.

As late as May, the South Funen company received positive publicity as the chairman of the Social Democrats, Mrs. Mette Frederiksen, mentioned the company in her speech at the anniversary of Danish Commerce (Dansk Erhvervs).

Employee well-being and job satisfaction is reflected also in the very low staff turnover, with staff averaging 11 years’ service. Another important aspect is the fair employee profit-sharing scheme.

CO-industry has confirmed that the year's best cooperative business is C.C. JENSEN, but at this stage will not reveal more about the reason for this prize. This we get on the day of the award ceremony, where beer and sausages are served on Løvholmen in Svendborg.
