CJC® Phosphate Ester Filter Inserts – PEx Series

To effectively remove oil degradation products, reduce acidity and increase resistivity

CJC® Filter Inserts type PEx1, PEx2, and PEx3 are specifically developed to ensure maximum reliability in Steam Turbine Control Systems using TXP-free Phosphate Ester Oils. Together, they efficiently remove water, particles, acids, and oil degradation products – the four main contamination sources – extending both oil and component lifetime.
By combining the three inserts, you achieve optimal efficiency, lower O&M costs, and reduced risk of unplanned downtime in critical EHC and hydraulic control systems.

APPLICATION

The CJC® Filter Inserts PEx1, PEx2, and PEx3 are designed to filter hydraulic fire-resistant fluids (HFD) based on TXP-free Phosphate Ester Oil, used in high-pressure hydraulic control oil and Electro-Hydraulic Control (EHC) of Steam Turbines.
In the CJC® Phosphate Ester Filter, PEU, the inserts are applied in combination to ensure optimal efficiency and safe operation:

• PEx1 removes acidic degradation products and varnish, restoring resistivity

• PEx2 removes and controls water content

• PEx3 removes ultra-fine particles, soot, and wear debris

Together, the three inserts provide complete oil protection and long-term reliability of turbine control systems.

COMPONENTS & PACKAGING

The Filter Inserts PEx1 consist of polyester needlefelt bags filled with ion exchange resin and packed in vacuum-sealed bags to keep them dry and protected. The Filter Inserts are supplied in a carton box labeled with a unique batch number. The Filter Inserts must only be unpacked immediately before installation and use.

The Filter Inserts PEx2 consist of polyester needlefelt bags filled with molecular sieve, packed in vacuum- sealed bags to keep them dry and protected. The Filter Inserts are supplied in a carton box labeled with a unique batch number. The inserts must only be unpacked immediately before installation and use.

The Filter Inserts PEx3 consist of a blend of engineered cellulose fibers. The Filter Inserts are supplied in a carton box labeled with a unique batch number. The box must only be unpacked immediately before installation and use.

How to ensure clean & safe operation

Replace CJC® Filter Inserts on a condition-based schedule (oil analysis) or at least every 6 months to maintain efficiency and keep your Phosphate Ester Oil clean, dry, and reliable.
